EARTHRISE ITEMS
The Earthrise Institute is selling the items on this page to raise funds for carrying out educational and research activites that build upon the "Ice and Stone 2020" educational program we conducted throughout the course of 2020. The "General Items" displayed at the top are for sale at the listed prices, and the "Rare and Collectible Items" lower down (including the Sagan/Asimov book) are available for bids that may be offered. The Earthrise Institute is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all sales and donations are tax-deductible (at least, within the U.S.). (Our IRS determination letter, under our original name of Southwest Institute for Space Research, is available for examination.) All sales and donations may be made via PayPal to the address donate@earthriseinstitute.org or via check (payable to Earthrise Institute) mailed to: 891 16 Springs Canyon Road, Cloudcroft NM 88317 USA.

Earthrise encourages all readers to examine our mission statement, which includes links to the history of the organization and to activities we have conducted in the past. The "Ice and Stone 2020" program, which was self-funded by Earthrise Institute founder Alan Hale, was, in some respects, a new start for Earthrise, and our intent with the sale of these items is to bring in the funding necessary to place Earthrise on a firmer financial footing so that it can continue to carry out additional activities in fulfillment of its vision and to bring in younger generations to whom we can "pass the torch" at the appropriate time. Ultimately, we want to do our part in building a better future for all of humanity.

Several years ago, Majel Barrett, late wife of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, graciously donated several dozen autographed 8" x 10" (20 cm x 25 cm) photos of herself, including in some of her various roles in Star Trek, to Earthrise for fundraising purposes. Originally, there were 14 different poses in all; one is now sold out, and only limited supplies are left for a handful of others. Price: $50 per photo; full set of 13 remaining poses (while they last) for $500.
